Now you have a t-shirt! Hit it with a blow dryer to help the ink dry and then iron it the next day under a piece of wax paper.

Step Six

Now you are ready to print!
Spoon some of your ink across the top and down the side of your desogn. Take your cardboard ink spreader and scrape the ink across the surface of the screen. Pull it from the top to the bottom all the way across the screen and then from side to side. Make sure there are no puddles left on the area with the design and lift up your screen. It will be messy so wipe it of with a wet paper towel.

Step Five

Now you want to set up your printing area. Put cardboard on your surface, and fold a peice of cardboard to use as an ink spreader. Make sure the area of the shirt you are printing is clean and wrinkle free. put newspaper inside the shirt (otherwise the ink will bleed all the way to the back). Put your shirt on the cardboard.

Step Four

Tape around the edges. This is just for extra security, and the perfect oportunity to fill in any little rips n you screen.

Step Three

After you have traced your graphic, you will use the modge podge to fill in all of the spaces on the screen that you do not want to be inked (the white space). THis is where choosing a chuncky or blocky design comes in handy, because it took me a long time to modge podge this screen because there were so many little delicate edges.

Step Two

The next thing you will do is find or make a graphic. I used one with a lot of lines but this would be much esier with something that has large blocks of black and white spaces. After you get your graphic print it in balck and white and trace it onto your screen.
